History:

Kirai, originally named Akihiko Inoue meaning bright prince, was born into a family of wealth and status. He was a disappointment to his family as they were hoping for him to be the next heir of their power. Because of his weak structure and frailness, he was often pushed around by the royal adversaries, servants, and children. Each night he’d come home only to find his family spiteful beatings awaiting him. Intimidated and paranoid, he crawled out of his room one night and into the village of peasants. There he taken in by a benign, motherly figure named Masura-san and was welcomed by her six auspicious children. In less than two years, Kirai was known as the Benevolent Prince to the villagers as he would always give money to the poor. However what the villagers did not know were the tactics used by Kirai to deliver them their wishes. Every night he would break into the castle and demand money from his family. At first they were outrageous, how could this son of ours, not only disappear but also demand money? They were happy he was gone, one less failure around, one less mouth to feed but now that he was back. Kirai, showing no emotion to their objection, raised a knife he took in the butcher’s kitchen and slashed his family until the blood crashed the walls like a fiery river. Soon the castle of Inoue fell and Kirai was no longer the childish and obedient child he was. He renamed himself as the People’s Protector as he would only kill the wealthy families and give their money to the peasants. However, despite of this, the villagers began to grow more afraid of him, this man who killed with nothing but his bare hands, and soon they began attacking him out of fear. Kirai, fearing that once again he would be all alone, slayed the villagers while tears crashed down his cheeks. After setting his beloved village on fire, he set out into the wilderness, lost in both soul and mind. He changed his name to Kirai, meaning hate.

Personality:
At first glance, Kirai is viewed as a passionate man despite his few violent outbursts. However, despite his enthusiasm, he is arrogant, ambitious, and cruel. He has no intention in life and only acts on one instinct: to kill, earning him the moniker of “Death’s Hand.” But living life by just killing ruthlessly was too dull and little by little he developed a sadistic nature from watching people die. He created countless games dealing with the psychological state of the human mind. Kirai would save humans in need and right after he’d slaughter them. After time he’s mind slowly rotted into insanity as his thoughts were consumed by the pleasure of killing.
